Arkansas- South Carolina visitors

Arkansas is expecting about 40 recruits for Saturday’s game.  Here’s some of the notable prospects.

OL Luke Charpentier- River Ridge, La. John Curtis Christian

 LB Courtney Gaston- Ft. Gibson, Okla.

Ath. Eric Bennett- Tulsa Washington

OL-DL Calvin Barnett- Tulsa Washington

TE Garrett Uekman – LR Catholic

RB-LB Braylon Mitchell- Heber Springs

2011 RB Daniel Lasco- The Woodlands, Tx.

Ath. Charcandrick West- Southwood, La.

TE Cody Nall- Ardmore, Okla.

Ath. Greg White- DeQueen

2011 RB  Wesleigh Foster-  Clarksville

WR DeAnte Reid, Jr- Pleasant Grove, Tx.

2011 WR Steven Carpenter- Jenks, Okla.

Richard…I am somewhat perplexed and concerned…specifically about “Big Tex” Jatashun Beachum ….I heard his interview on Shawn & Walley right after he commited…he was really excited and set on Arkansas…however…I see on another sight that he is wavering and leaning toward Michigan….is this true or just speculation. I was really excited about this particular commit.

  10. I won’t have much at all to complain about if we can pull Barnett and Jones (if they both are qualifiers). Another stud DE and LB and as a defensive minded Hog fan, I would be beside myself and wouldn’t care about the rankings. We do need some DL recruits that can make plays as freshmen. Go Hogs!

  11. I’m not that worried about Beachum I think he likes arkansas. If we did lose him it wouldnt be that big of a deal he has horrible stats. i thinki his rating is based on potential anyway.

  12. I’m glad to see Barnett is still taking a visit to Fayettville.
    I think if he happens to change his mind later and recommit to the Hogs, he could be an impact DT like D.D. Jones.

  13. I dont believe that Barnett will flip to Arksas and I really dont have a good feeling about Bryan Jones….I think he wants to be an LSU Tiger
    Of course this is just my opinion.

  14. LSU will not offer Byran Jones. They are done taking defensive lineman in this years class. It will come down to us and Ole Miss. I believe he signs with the hogs in February. I think we have a great chance at landing Calvin Barnett also. It will come down to us and Okie St. Eric Bennett and Garrick Mcgee will make it hard on this guy to remain committed to Okie. St.

  15. I like the way the coaches are already getting on some of these 2011 recruits. Richard has 4 of them listed above and there could be more overall.
