DL from Michigan to attend Arkansas game
October 30, 2009 – 6:00 amDefensive lineman Tremondae Branch made his way to Fayetteville for Arkansas’ senior camp and is planning to make a return trip for the Eastern Michigan game this weekend.
Branch, 6-1, 277, 5.0, of Flint (Mich.) Carman-Ainsworth is familiar with the Arkansas coaching staff.
“I really do like Arkansas,” said Branch, who recorded 72 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 7 sacks last season. “I feel a good connection there especially coach Johnson. I’ve known those guys since I was a eighth grader and went to the Louisville campus.
When you have a relationship for that long and you get the opportunity to be a part of something they’re building, it’s hard to say no.”
Branch, who said Michigan State, Notre Dame, Bowling Green, Central Michigan and others showing interest and wanting to see his highlight film, reports a 325-pound bench press and 560 squat along with a time of 4.55 seconds in the pro-shuttle.

I’ve heard very good things out of branch, mostly from Arkansas’ Senior Camp. But I really like him just from what I’ve heard. He really wants to come to Arkansas. I like it if the kid has that drive and desire to come play for us. Means alot to them. I guess his size is what’s holding us back from offering him?

kinda odd that he has NO offers according to Rivals/Scouts… Makes you wonder if there is a red flag (character and/or grade issue). But the GPA says 2.83… Here’s hoping for a “diamond in the rough”

But does he love the helmet?

I hear that he is a “diamond in the rough”.

His height appears to be a little suspect. But again, how tall is Malcomb Sheppard?
This may be one of those kids that BP and staff “know” will commit as we get down to the NSD, and could be the reason for a “grayshirt”.

You could be right, bigfoot. We already have one grayshirt commited, that will count toward the 2011 class, so maybe he just wants to make sure he wants to walk on until January.
He shur seems interested enough to keep coming back all the way from Michigan.
A little time in the weight room and he could turn out to be a good one.
