Alma coach gives McCoy high praise

Add Alma receiver/ running back Isaac McCoy to the long list of top prospects in the state for the 2011 class.
“He’s probably the most talented athlete I’ve coaches in 26 years of coaching,” said Alma coach Todd Dilbeck. “He’s very athletic and has extremely good speed and unbelievable hands and good takeoff. He can catch, he can block. He’s just very gifted.”

McCoy, 6 ½, 170, 4.41 has recorded 45 carries for 433 yards for 9.6 yard average and 7 touchdowns with a long of 75 yards, 19 receptions for 351 yards for 18.4 yards per catch and 7 touchdowns with a long of 51 yards this season. He also returns punts and kickoffs.

Dilbeck said McCoy is a personable young man.

“He has a great smile,” Dilbeck said. “He’s just an awesome kid. He’s very intelligent and knows the game.”
