Pruitt receives an offer
July 6, 2009 – 7:01 pmHouston Pruitt of Springdale Har-Ber has been offered a baseball scholarship by Arkansas. The Hogs are recruiting him as a pitcher. Pruitt, who has hit 92 MPH on the radar gun, said he could make a decision in the next few days.
He also has football offers from Tulsa and La.-Monroe.

Speaking of baseball/football crossover athletes, I’m glad to see Jim Youngblood still on the football team. I really hope we can find a way to utilize him without Mallett or Wilson getting hurt.

Daniel, I agree with you. But we do need that third QB for the season, even if we hope he has nothing but clean up roles.

Wilson and Youngblood should both be pitching for the baseball team.
If they want ANY chance at getting drafted. Obviously it is not going to happen in Football.

I read on another site somewhere where ESPN has a ranking list of draftable college QBs. (predictions of course)
Ryan Mallett was listed at #7, so considering Tyler Wilson provided such a high competition level with Mallett in spring ball, gaining enough praise from Bobby Petrino to temporarily garantee playing time in the fall, I’d say Tyler Wilson’s chances of someday being drafted are looking pretty good right now.
