It says he wants to be a DE. When he gots on a campus it is possible he will played at WR or TE. I would think with the position he is playing being LB and the height, weight, and speed he is at he should stay put right there at LB. But I am sure when he gets on a campus a coach will put him where he is best capable of playing.
Another thing I noticed is that alot of this LB, TE, DE players we are recruiting look a lot like Chris Smith our commit from NC in size and stature. I think the staff has a certain frame and size in mind for a lot of these positions and are going after those athletes strong.
Then if we could get a bowling ball in the middle like Barry James I think his name is from Alabama we would have a nasty LB core. I wonder how James recruiting has been going he has listed the Hogs on his list thus far I wonder if he is going to narrow things or if the Hogs have backed off of him.
Could you imagine if we had gotten Kiffin? I am almost as relieved that we didn’t get him as I am excited we got Petrino, almost. If he doesn’t make it to a bowl this year, he’ll be on a very short leash. If he’s not in a high profile bowl and/or the SECCG within two years, he’s gone. His behaviour is only excusable if he’s winning and winning huge. This brashness will come back to haunt him big time. He is really lucky Florida is so early in his schedule. Urban Meyer could end his career if he had around a .500 record by late October/ early November. Remember when Richt got cocky a couple of years ago and the entrire team stomped the end-zone? Meyer made them quick and easy gatorbait the next year in Jacksonville. Look for Florida to hang at least 60 on the Vols this year. The Tide and Gamecocks will probably beat them respectably, but not completely destroy them with so many questionmarks on the team.
Kiffin can have a bad year this year. He has no QB so he is almost guaranteed to have bad record.
but if he keeps bringing in the classes like he did this year, then he’ll get them to make some noise.
when you have monte kiffin calling Defense, and ed o. recruiting players then you really have something going there (potentially).
w/ that said, Bobby petrino has been nothing but a class act since he got here and already has us poised to do something really special this year even w/ a killer schedule.
I’m concerned with where Fulmer and Tuberville will reappear. I am concerned that these two who have a successful record in the SEC will reappear at SEC schools. ala HDN.
Miles at LSU is not that great a coach. If he doesn’t have a great year, the powers to be down there may let him go and hire Fulmer. The first thing Fulmer will do is hire “the big O” for recruiting. IMHO Fulmer is by far the better coach.
I don’t think LSU would settle for Tennessee’s sloppy seconds. Fulmer is past his prime. He’ll be back at a mid major or a high major that has traditionally sucked (Indiana State, Duke, some ACC school) he won’t ever be back in the SEC. Tuberville actually had talent he might be back.
This is kinda off topic but any speculation on who might not make it back to the Razorback basketball team next season? We still have 14 on the roster. My guess is one of the Junior college kids.

These all look like very good recruits to me.
If I am not mistaken Wade also has a teammate that is a CB/S that is one of the top players in the nation also. Very talented program it sounds like.

Those fla boys seem like some good athletes.
the athlete that they are recruiting as a receiver should only have to look at a player like joe adams and see how he is going to be used.

This guy catches 2 passes for 115 yards and 2 Touchdowns ! And we want him to be a DE ? He must be some DE !
I like the receivers who dart all over the field after a catch too !
Thanks Richard !

Richard:
Did Robert Thomas clear the NCAA or not? Someone posted that Rivals said he has cleared. I am unable to verify.
Thanks

Thomas did get cleared. Will be a big boost to the DT depth.

This is totally unrelated, but how’s this for a sign of the apocalypse? Lane Kiffin is at it again with his antics..

He doesn’t have a QB for next year either. They only have 2 QBs on scholarship and haven’t signed any in 2 years.

shawn seems to think it’ll be Jason Henry.
We haven’t heard why yet.

Looks like Kevin Nelson is going to Miami instead of Arkansas and DT Justin Taylor decides to go to VT instead of Arkansas. Both reported on ESPN.
