Ron you are thinking of the Walk On FL QB we got in this last 2009 class.
Trickett is a very good QB that has shown extremely well at combines and football runs in the family with his dads job obviously.
I would love for him to commit when he visits but it sounds like he is taking his time so we will have to see.

You’re dreaming for this year. It’s a weak crop for QBs and nearly all the 4 and 5 stars are committed to other schools. We’ll land a 3 star QB this year.
He has done well in combines. There is a reason why the Petrinos are high on him. Maybe we got a quick jump on him. Florida State would be recruiting him except for the close relationship with Fisher. He’s a 3 star but my be a 4 star by the time it is all said and done. Again, recruiting is an evaluation game and Rivals, etc. don’t always get it right. QB is always tough to evaluate because many guys get high ratings based on athleticism. Speaking of which…will Arkansas recruit Bobby Allen’s boy? He will be a top 5 type QB recruit it looks like.
Trickett is undersized and I believe that’s why he’s being recruited by second-tier schools. He reminds me of Alex Mortensen. He’ll be a good clipboard holder at the UA.
Sorry to change the subject, but has anyone else read that Dyer’s top 4 is auburn, lsu, oklahoma, and notre dame? No Hogs……. I hope that is not the case.
It does appear that top tier quarterbacks are over 6′3″ …with rocket arms…on Mortensen, I was saddened to see that he never really got a chance to prove himself at Arkansas. On Dyer, I am not moved either way with his recruitment.
Petrino bro’s QB evaluation is top notch. Trickett doesnt hold any other big time offers. I bet they will come later in the season. With that said MRPRFCT is rite he prolly will hold the clipboard not becuase he isnt any good but the QB’s of the Future should b great
irishsportsdaily.com has an article about his top 4. I couldn’t read the article, but someone who did relayed the info. I’m really hoping that he is still considering the UofA, as it would be a great fit. Auburn is going nowhere soon, Weis will be gone if ND loses more than 4 games this year, Miles years of winning with Sabans players are over, as evident from last years woes, and Oklahoma is in the Little 12 conference. A one loss oklahoma team will never beat out a one loss SEC or Pac-TEN team for a trip to the national championship game. I think in the next few years, Arkansas will be that one-loss team (or zero-loss). The argument that Auburn has fewer good RBs for him to compete with is bogus, Dyer seems like the type of guy who can work his way into any depth chart. I hope this is just him playing games with his recruiting. As for myself, with Wingo, Davis, Curtis, Johnson, and Green all having 3+ years of ball left, I’m not too worried. And Mike, if you are reading this, I wish you the best wherever you go. I hope all true hog fans have this same mentality. That being said, the UofA is a great school for getting RBs ready for the NFL. Which school had 2 RBs go in the first round last year? Oh yeah, the HOGS! WPS!
Hey Richard D. Have you heard any new news on the injury status of Mallet, Davis, smith and the others? We would all like an update if one is available. Thanks keeperhawg
Michael Dyer keeps insisting that he wants to see Notre Dame for himself.
The 5-foot-9, 201-pound running back from Little Rock, Ark., made that claim in mid-May when he assessed where things stood with the Irish during the spring evaluation period, calling Notre Dame “definitely a place I want to check out.”
A month later, Dyer’s tune hasn’t changed a bit.
The five-star prospect recently narrowed his list of favorites to a Top 4 and Notre Dame made the cut along with Auburn, Oklahoma and LSU.
Dyer said that Auburn has emerged as the favorite in this group, but he’s still intent on taking some unofficial visits this summer. Although Dyer isn’t likely to start traveling again until July, he wants to make stops at LSU, Notre Dame and a return trip to Auburn.
Even if he can’t make an unofficial trip to South Bend this summer, Dyer said he’d then like to use an official visit to check out Notre Dame.
“(They have) a great coach,” Dyer said. “You can go play college football for them and after that get a good degree.”
Notre Dame can credit Dyer’s interest to his building relationship with running backs coach Tony Alford, who’s been the running back’s main contact with the program. Dyer said he and Alford’s conversations have gone well.
“We talk about football a little bit,” Dyer said. “But we talk about normal things and (have) general conversation.”
Dyer, the nation’s No. 3 running back and No. 11 player overall on Rivals.com, has upwards of 25 scholarship offers from across the country after compiling enormous numbers in his three years at Little Rock Christian High School.
He has piled up 5,595 yards and 53 touchdowns on 652 rushing attempts since his freshman season to go along with 41 catches for 463 yards and five scores.
My biggest worry over the whole Dyer situation is that he cosiders Weiss a great coach. I’m not saying Dyer has bad character judgement, I’m sure Weiss is a great guy, I just can’t label him as a great coach. The one competetive year he had was with the previous coach’s recruits and then pretty much fell off into obscurity. Hmmm… why does that seem so familiar that after one good year, the next four, five, maybe six are completely irrelevant?
Well sounds like making camps to AR is not as important to him as some other visits. Whether this is because he has visited AR before and not seen these places I dont know. If he thinks Auburn’s offense (we went over this last week) is a good fit, and that Weiss is a great coach. I hope the best for him.
Now if he was saying this about Stoops at OU I would understand actually. But I personally dont think there is a better fit for him anywhere than at Arkansas. I think he would be the hero, he could find his way on the depth chart. And like many of you have said. We crank out RBs to the pros. BP may run something different but if you look at his time in Louisville he runs those RBs to. Maybe not 3 times in a row like Nutt did but he runs them. Pro Style offense will have you more than ready for the Pros. If Dyer does leave AR I would probably prefer he go to Notre Dame. OU and Auburn are to close to home and sort of a slap in the face and there is a higher chance of playing them at least at ND I wouldnt have to watch him because I never watch ND. Cant stand them.
I dont even feel like Dyer wants to be a Hog or is even considering it anymore with the last few stories written on Rivals. I wonder why he hasn’t given Richard any updates on his recruitment. You would think the local writer would get the updates on the player. Better to go ahead and break it to the fans now than wait I would think. Then again it will probably be bad no matter what.
Well, we have lost great recruits before so if we lose Dyer it wont be anything CBP cant handle. I do hope Dyer makes his decision soon. No matter where it is.
We are also recruiting other highly rated RB’s and we have alot on campus now. Life will go on.
I hope we hear soon from the NCAA on Green.
We Hog fans need to get over Dyer…there are bigger and better running backs already at Arkansas…if he doesn’t want to play for the Hogs…ohhh well….IMHO
Seems like he is repeating Auburn over and over. That article said he is planning another visit to Auburn. Time will tell but in the meantime I would start pushing harder on others RB recruits.
MRPRFCT I would say the better yes or no is left up to opinions. I love his video as much as anyone. But I played football in central Arkansas and I know the teams very well.
I know the team he plays for is a newer school but I know exactly what league he is playing in and the teams he is playing. They are not the highest level to say the least. This is not a knock on him, but I have seen videos of players I liked just as much that we have on campus that were playing against the largest classifications in the state or in their states I should say.
And he has never stepped on a college campus as a college athlete to take a snap so until that time regardless of how highly rated or good looking one may be I will always consider the college athlete to be better than the High School athlete. They have to prove something first in my book.
Richard similar to what Ron just asked. Could you see how many of the top rated prospects we have offered and been recruiting can get you an update on their recruiting?
Hey fellow Hog fans! On the Dyer situation, I think we all just need to sit back and let itself play out. I remember a couple years ago when Joe Adams COMMITTED to USC early, and a lot of people were really down about that. However, after the dust had all cleared, HE WAS A HOG!!!! It is way too early in the game to get discouraged about this whole situation. BTW, I am also speaking to myself, because I have felt some unease and frustration because thigs have not played out yet like I think they should in an ideal world for a Hogfan! But, Dyer has not even committed to another school yet. I can understand him taking the opportunities to see places he might not ever get to visit again, like Notre Dame. Of course I wish he would committ to the Hogs today, but we will all have to just wait and see. It is a long time till the 1st Wednesday in Febuary 2010. I really feel that everyone will be more than happy with what we find under the tree!
Let’s see. He’s played against Joe Adams’ team, Neal Barlows’ team, Austin Tates’ team…
I also played high school football, for LR Central. I also know great runningbacks. Runningbacks like Corey Adams, Mark Bridges, Ray Nealy (although he wasn’t good enough to play RB for us, he did play RB for the Oakland Raiders and Miami Dolphins). I know talent and Dyer is the best runningback I’ve ever seen on tape.
Also, on Tricket, I don’t think everyone on here is giving him a fair shake. From what Richard shared in the article about him, I am impressed. He won MVP at the Under Armour, EA Sports, and Nike camps, and folks, these are some bigtime camps, not some fly by night podunk get2gethers! While I agree his reported weight (180) is not ideal right now, I don’t see that as a big problem. Remember that Tyler Wilson reported to Arkansas at a similar weight, and I believe he is over 200 now. Also seems to be an excellent student, seeing as he has the chance to be an early enrollee. I also like the fact that he is a coaches son, and should be fundamentally sound. Perhaps one reason he doesn’t have a ton of offers from bigtime schools is his level of competition (1A). It will be interesting to see how his situation plays out.
Hey, MRPRFCT, I agree with you that Dyer is the best HS runningback I have ever seen on tape, with the possible exception of Reggie Bush’s HS highlight videos, although they are almost interchangeable. Also, while he plays in 5A, the 3rd largest classification, there are some great teams that he has played against like you mentioned. You also forgot to mention Greenwood, who plays in the same conference as LRC.BTW, I seem to remember the names Marc Bridges and Corey Adams. I think they among others helped hand Pine Bluff their only loss in 1990, although Central ended up losing pretty bad to Texarkana in the semi’s 30-0. Then Texarkana got hammered by the Basil Shabaaz show at War Memorial!
Actually, in that game we beat Pine Bluff 21-13, but Marc Bridges was hurt and only played the 4th qtr but still ran for over 100 yards. That year Corey Adams played for Sylvan Hills as a sophomore. Yea, Mike Cherry and company came in and put a whooping on us.
Not a bad loss though. Texarkana really had an awesome team that year, and shut out 8 opponents. They were undefeated till the state title game. They might have beaten Pine Bluff on another given day, but Pine Bluff was definetly the better team that night.
Dyer played against Tyler Wilson’s team in the 2007 state Championship game also. Greenwood had lost 44-7 at L.R. Christian back in the regular season game, but got their revenge in the title game. (I can’t remember the score, but I think Greenwood won by at least 2 TDs)
Dyer was a Soph, who ran for more than 2,000 yards that season.
In the regular season debacle, Wilson’s game was terrible. He threw 2 INT’s returned for 2 TDs on back to back possesions. They never could recover after that.
Hey Gonzo! I think the final score of that title game was 27-6. I also remember hearing about that regular season game! Man, I was surprised. Not only that Greenwood got beat, but that was the worst loss I think they had in a long time! But, I guess the won the game that mattered…
Yeah, I was petty suprised by the outcome of that game too, SAHF.
Greenwood’s only other loss of the season that year was an away game at Ft. Smith Southside early in the season, and they actually should have won that game.
Maybe it was the long ride L.R. I don’t know.
Anyway, like you said, they won the one that mattered.
it is true that I have not seen as many Dyer video clips. My whole point is this and is simple…if he doesnt want to play for arkansas and be a razorback…dont salivate over one player. I wont lose any sleep over him or any other. I have been a Razorback fan since 1967…I remember when Joe Ferguson (sp) was here…he was, in my opinion, the purest passer I have ever seen in a Razorback uniform. Loved the guy…I actually was depresed for a week or two when Texas A & M tore him up with their pass defense…of course we didnt have any kind of running game..just Joe. SO, one player does not make or break a team. I rest my case about obsessing.
Is Trickett a schollie offer, or is he an invited walk-on?
What’s the deal with Dyer? Hasn’t he received enough “love” from the Hogs? Or is this becasue we haven’t offered Moseley?
To be honest with you I think Moseley has been offerred, but not as a TE. I think he has been told he does not meet the criteria that the current staff is using for TEs. We would gladly offer him as a OG, OT, or DT. Perhaps Dyer has been told this as well. You do remember that they talked about a package deal at one time?
I never played QB. Why do you assume I played QB? Must be because of my vast knowledge of football. Thanks for the compliment, Ima Hawg. That’s nice of you!
What about Courtney Haskell RB used to play at Warren now at Bentonville? The Head coaches of both schools have said he is as talented of a player as they have ever coached & they have had some great ones. Anyone seen him play could he play his way onto the hill?
Take a look at the Scout.com state rankings from Yesterday. They got to Arkansas finally and list how they rank our top20 players. A little different than the lists done previously by other sources.
Know kiddin! And whats the deal with Clarence Harris from lonoke was he not a senior last year? That list looks like crapola to me but the truth is u cant tell for another 2-3 years but i think rivals is much, much closer
Looks like they went off which kids have offers and just tried to place them in order of who they think has the most and best offers or something. I duno.
Jones is looked at as the unanimous #2 in the state I thought from pretty much all sources but they dropped him down. Sloan was a relatively unknown but since he committed to Nebraska I guess that raised him up in their eyes. That list is terrible. I have been waiting to see that for so long to. I bet I will be disappointed the same way when ESPN finally goes to AR for the College Football Live 50 States tour. I have been waiting forever and it will probably be an awful piece.
Since ESPN has such a hatred of Petrino (i.e. they want to keep in their sponsor Home Depot’s good graces so they keep reinforcing Arthur Blank’s screwed up perception) and this new found love affair with Nutt, let me predict on how the segment will start out.
“Football will never be relevant in the State of Arkansas again since they ran off the father of modern football and the greatest coach in sports history, the right reverend Houston Nutt, unless high school athletes go to play for him at Ole Miss. Michael Dyer is far and away the top athlete in the state and one of the best running backs in the nation. He would work magic in Houston Nutt’s brainchild- the Wild Rebel. We’ll be right back after a word from Home Depot.”
ESPN does not really have a choice. The SEC is going to battle for us to get some primetime games especially if we are relevant no matter what ESPN wants to do.
I was thinking the probably are going to have some type of Nutt Petrino drama in the segment. I wish I knew when they were doing Arkansas.
I don’t know why they would. HDN has been gone over a year and a half now. Nothing new has come up so I highly doubt ESPN brings up HDN when talking about Arkansas.
Va Tech is a steady competitive ACC team that will never get it done on that stage. They are always overrated and regionally they have nothing to do with us. Why would they put us on the same show as them and talk more about them? That is BS. We have more history as a program than them. They have been good for some time but not near as long as the Hogs.
Freaking ESPN. They are losing my respect on a daily basis more and more. Its pretty low already.
They will start ranked in the top ten you mean MRP. Then they will get beat early and then when they play their soft weak conference schedule they will probably work their way back up towards the top10 and maybe make it back in.
I know they played for a title with Vick. How well did that game go for them?
ESPN is garbage. They will jock the Hogs just like anyone else if Mallett plays well and the D plays well and we become a team to watch.
Yeah because Bama is the only good team they play. If they made the BCS championship game they would get worn out.
Va Tech is overrated and boring. If you cant tell what you just said is what I said. They always are highly ranked preseason. Then play Bama or a tough OOC team and get beat. Then they win their weak conference and end up in a BCS game. WOOPIE!
I thought the SEC signed a television contract with ESPN for every SEC football game to be televised on one of the ESPN channels (ABC included). As part of the contract the SEC agreed to move some games to Thurs (maybe friday) each week.
Next time Game Day comes to Arkansas, we should make Home Depot build the stage it in Tusk’s pen. By the end of the show they would have the exact same matter stuck to the bottom of their shoes that they have between their ears.
ESPN is the reason McFadden didn’t win the Heisman. ESPN knew that they were gonna televise Florida’s bowl game so they played up Tebow just to get good ratings. Since they’re such a monopoly everyone was brainwashed by them and Tebow won it. Everyone knows McFadden was a better player.
You are ignorant. Still pissed your coach got run out of the state? The lies spread by Nutt and people like you sicken me and they should have suffered for it. Yor obession over a 21 year old guy is pathetic and sad. Move on with your life. He has. And get your facts straight and stop believing the lies. Mitch’s mother let’s her son live his own life, but you wouldn’t know that from idiots like Trey, Otis, Rick, Randy etc. She contacted Nutt one time the ENTIRE season. It’s not uncommon for parents of players to talk with the coach. Matt Jones daddy made Nutt play him at QB, but I don’t see you crying about that. Casey Dick’s daddy talked with Nutt plenty, but it wasn’t reported. You act like she told him what to do when she didn’t. The idiot couldn’t even get him the right size should pads. The obession and hatred for him is pathetic. You and people like you will always hate him because he help run that idiot out of this state forever when his behavior was exposed. It happened to others, but it finally came to light with him
Trey and Otis should head to Ole Piss with all the lies they spread. Get over it and let it go. Your hero is NEVER EVER going to coach at Arkansas AGAIN. NEVER.
I spent some time in Virginia and in the last 10 years Va Tech has been a notch better than Arkansas overall especially on defense. They have a large passionate following as well. I agree that over the decades they do not have the long standing tradition as UA, but Beamer is highly respected nationally and especially noted for defense and special teams. The ACC is not the SEC and that’s a fact. However, a 5-7 team is just not going to merit much attention until things get turned around. Mallett will bring lots of exposure to UA this year along with DJ Williams and Michael Smith. It’s coming!!!
hog_FAN, I’m not ignorant. Folks may disagree with me and dislike my opinions and even me, but I’m not ignorant. I’ve never told a lie about mustain. I’m not obessed over mustain, but it sounds like you still have issues with HDN. Pot calls kettle black for a thousand, Alex. I never said mustain’s mom met with a coach, any coach for that matter. The equipment manager is responsible for getting the proper gear to athletes. I’m not obsessed nor do I hate mustain. I actually believe it was a good thing overall that HDN left. I hate how it happened. It made our fans look really bad. I appreciate what HDN did for the program. He made us passionate about the football team again. CBP is my coach. Have a nice day!

Is Trickett looking to be a QB at Arkansas or are we recruiting him as an athlete?

My biggest worry over the whole Dyer situation is that he cosiders Weiss a great coach. I’m not saying Dyer has bad character judgement, I’m sure Weiss is a great guy, I just can’t label him as a great coach. The one competetive year he had was with the previous coach’s recruits and then pretty much fell off into obscurity. Hmmm… why does that seem so familiar that after one good year, the next four, five, maybe six are completely irrelevant?
By Daniel M. on Jun 23, 2009 @ 3:58pm
He will not be at the senior camp. I read he he has vipe 7on7 that he will be attending.
By Bruce on Jun 23, 2009 @ 4:02pm
Oh ! Thanks Bruce
By Ron in Jordan on Jun 23, 2009 @ 4:10pm
mallett and wilson is already 4 and 5 stars qb for another 4 years . we r going to win national championship in less than 2 years.
By joey on Jun 23, 2009 @ 4:14pm
By blake on Jun 23, 2009 @ 4:18pm
LOL, ND SUCKS! I was born 30 minutes from there
and they still SUCK !
By Ron in Jordan on Jun 23, 2009 @ 4:24pm
Last year I just posted things over and over like
DARIUS COME TO THE HILL!! BE A HOG!! GO HOGS!!!
By blake on Jun 23, 2009 @ 4:37pm
Well, we have lost great recruits before so if we lose Dyer it wont be anything CBP cant handle. I do hope Dyer makes his decision soon. No matter where it is.
We are also recruiting other highly rated RB’s and we have alot on campus now. Life will go on.
I hope we hear soon from the NCAA on Green.
By Ron in Jordan on Jun 23, 2009 @ 4:47pm
DYER COME TO THE HILL!! BE A HOG!! GO HOGS!!! LOL
By Ron in Jordan on Jun 23, 2009 @ 4:48pm
haha nice.
For some reason I was more into Winston coming. He was a CB and very much needed.
Not saying Dyer is not wanted or needed but….life will go on.
By blake on Jun 23, 2009 @ 4:57pm
We Hog fans need to get over Dyer…there are bigger and better running backs already at Arkansas…if he doesn’t want to play for the Hogs…ohhh well….IMHO

By Ron in Jordan on Jun 23, 2009 @ 5:27pm
I asked about the article. Biddy said don’t take what 17-18 year olde seriously until they keep repeating it.
By MRPRFCT on Jun 23, 2009 @ 5:29pm
Seems like he is repeating Auburn over and over. That article said he is planning another visit to Auburn. Time will tell but in the meantime I would start pushing harder on others RB recruits.
By Ron in Jordan on Jun 23, 2009 @ 5:33pm
By blake on Jun 23, 2009 @ 5:34pm
Lets just say Arkansas or bust!!
Jump on the Hog Train or get ran over!
By blake on Jun 23, 2009 @ 5:36pm
Richard,
Have you spoken with Camara, Mitchell, or Dyer lately?
By Ron in Jordan on Jun 23, 2009 @ 5:36pm

By blake on Jun 23, 2009 @ 5:40pm
By SOUTHARKHOGFAN on Jun 23, 2009 @ 6:49pm
By MRPRFCT on Jun 23, 2009 @ 6:55pm
By SOUTHARKHOGFAN on Jun 23, 2009 @ 7:08pm
By SOUTHARKHOGFAN on Jun 23, 2009 @ 7:21pm
Actually, in that game we beat Pine Bluff 21-13, but Marc Bridges was hurt and only played the 4th qtr but still ran for over 100 yards. That year Corey Adams played for Sylvan Hills as a sophomore. Yea, Mike Cherry and company came in and put a whooping on us.
By MRPRFCT on Jun 23, 2009 @ 7:30pm
Not a bad loss though. Texarkana really had an awesome team that year, and shut out 8 opponents. They were undefeated till the state title game. They might have beaten Pine Bluff on another given day, but Pine Bluff was definetly the better team that night.
By SOUTHARKHOGFAN on Jun 23, 2009 @ 7:37pm
Dyer played against Tyler Wilson’s team in the 2007 state Championship game also. Greenwood had lost 44-7 at L.R. Christian back in the regular season game, but got their revenge in the title game. (I can’t remember the score, but I think Greenwood won by at least 2 TDs)
Dyer was a Soph, who ran for more than 2,000 yards that season.
In the regular season debacle, Wilson’s game was terrible. He threw 2 INT’s returned for 2 TDs on back to back possesions. They never could recover after that.
By GonzoHog on Jun 23, 2009 @ 7:42pm
Hey Gonzo! I think the final score of that title game was 27-6. I also remember hearing about that regular season game! Man, I was surprised. Not only that Greenwood got beat, but that was the worst loss I think they had in a long time! But, I guess the won the game that mattered…
By SOUTHARKHOGFAN on Jun 23, 2009 @ 7:52pm
Yeah, I was petty suprised by the outcome of that game too, SAHF.
Greenwood’s only other loss of the season that year was an away game at Ft. Smith Southside early in the season, and they actually should have won that game.
Maybe it was the long ride L.R. I don’t know.
Anyway, like you said, they won the one that mattered.
By GonzoHog on Jun 23, 2009 @ 8:11pm
it is true that I have not seen as many Dyer video clips.
By hog fan in florida on Jun 23, 2009 @ 8:53pm
Is Trickett a schollie offer, or is he an invited walk-on?
What’s the deal with Dyer? Hasn’t he received enough “love” from the Hogs? Or is this becasue we haven’t offered Moseley?
To be honest with you I think Moseley has been offerred, but not as a TE. I think he has been told he does not meet the criteria that the current staff is using for TEs. We would gladly offer him as a OG, OT, or DT. Perhaps Dyer has been told this as well. You do remember that they talked about a package deal at one time?
By bigfoot on Jun 23, 2009 @ 10:54pm
Trickett was offered a schollie
Probably because we havent offer Mosley
I would offer him a schollie as an Athlete.

What about Courtney Haskell RB used to play at Warren now at Bentonville? The Head coaches of both schools have said he is as talented of a player as they have ever coached & they have had some great ones. Anyone seen him play could he play his way onto the hill?
By Big Boi on Jun 24, 2009 @ 10:18am
I’ve never seen him play, but I also have heard the rave reviews. I’d love to have Haskell play for us.

Take a look at the Scout.com state rankings from Yesterday. They got to Arkansas finally and list how they rank our top20 players. A little different than the lists done previously by other sources.
By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 10:44am
Rivals has him @ 5′11 202 4.42 laser timed forty. If he tears up the 7a west he should get an offer. (well imo)lol

By MRPRFCT on Jun 24, 2009 @ 11:01am
Know kiddin! And whats the deal with Clarence Harris from lonoke was he not a senior last year? That list looks like crapola to me but the truth is u cant tell for another 2-3 years but i think rivals is much, much closer
By Big Boi on Jun 24, 2009 @ 11:15am
Looks like they went off which kids have offers and just tried to place them in order of who they think has the most and best offers or something. I duno.
Jones is looked at as the unanimous #2 in the state I thought from pretty much all sources but they dropped him down. Sloan was a relatively unknown but since he committed to Nebraska I guess that raised him up in their eyes. That list is terrible. I have been waiting to see that for so long to. I bet I will be disappointed the same way when ESPN finally goes to AR for the College Football Live 50 States tour. I have been waiting forever and it will probably be an awful piece.
By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 12:07pm
By Daniel M. on Jun 24, 2009 @ 2:07pm
ESPN must not hate CBP too much, the UA-georgia game will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2.
Also, looks like mitch mustained is having elegibilty issues. His mom needs to contact the AD at usc about getting that fixed.
one last thing, interesting read here

By MRPRFCT on Jun 24, 2009 @ 2:18pm
I read that yesterday about Wilson.
ESPN does not really have a choice. The SEC is going to battle for us to get some primetime games especially if we are relevant no matter what ESPN wants to do.
I was thinking the probably are going to have some type of Nutt Petrino drama in the segment. I wish I knew when they were doing Arkansas.
By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 2:38pm
I don’t know why they would. HDN has been gone over a year and a half now. Nothing new has come up so I highly doubt ESPN brings up HDN when talking about Arkansas.
By MRPRFCT on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:01pm
what are they going to talk about?
Frank Broyles?
By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:02pm

By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:24pm
Split us with Virginia and talked about Va Tech the whole time!!!???!!
By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:24pm
I can see why. Va tech is a darkhouse national title contender.
By MRPRFCT on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:27pm
No HDN comments, said Billy Ray Smith was best ever and broyles was best coach and Arkansas Lsu was best game ever. Beamer called in to the show.
By Bruce on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:31pm
In their own world they are.
By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:32pm
Last year arkansas lsu, sorry.
By Bruce on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:32pm
Take it easy Blake, they will be back on our wagon soon when we start winning again. lol.
By Bruce on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:33pm
Va tech recently played for a national title and will be ranked in the top 10 this year.
By MRPRFCT on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:38pm
Yeah but the thing about VTech is one loss and they are done cause thats what happens when you play in mediocre conferences.
By Bruce on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:41pm
They will start ranked in the top ten you mean MRP. Then they will get beat early and then when they play their soft weak conference schedule they will probably work their way back up towards the top10 and maybe make it back in.
I know they played for a title with Vick. How well did that game go for them?
ESPN is garbage. They will jock the Hogs just like anyone else if Mallett plays well and the D plays well and we become a team to watch.
By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:42pm
That’s not necessarily true. If they lost to bama their first game and then won out I’d bet they’d be at or near the top of the BCS rankings.
By MRPRFCT on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:44pm
What Blake? Should they not follow top teams? Should they not follow hot teams? Geez what do you expect?
By MRPRFCT on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:46pm
I think when Bama beats them their season is over.
By Bruce on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:47pm
Yeah because Bama is the only good team they play. If they made the BCS championship game they would get worn out.
Va Tech is overrated and boring. If you cant tell what you just said is what I said. They always are highly ranked preseason. Then play Bama or a tough OOC team and get beat. Then they win their weak conference and end up in a BCS game. WOOPIE!
By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:47pm
Va Tech is an overrated overhyped team. If they didnt do preseason rankings they would not end up so high.
By blake on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:48pm
They lost by 17 but were down by only 1 point at the end of the third qtr.
By MRPRFCT on Jun 24, 2009 @ 3:49pm
In the last 5 seasons Va Tech has gone 10-4, 11-3, 10-3, 10-3, 10-3 with one of those seasons being a victory in the Orange Bowl over Louisville.
By MRPRFCT on Jun 24, 2009 @ 4:05pm
I thought the SEC signed a television contract with ESPN for every SEC football game to be televised on one of the ESPN channels (ABC included). As part of the contract the SEC agreed to move some games to Thurs (maybe friday) each week.
By hawglaw on Jun 24, 2009 @ 4:22pm
Next time Game Day comes to Arkansas, we should make Home Depot build the stage it in Tusk’s pen. By the end of the show they would have the exact same matter stuck to the bottom of their shoes that they have between their ears.
By Daniel M. on Jun 24, 2009 @ 4:24pm
I couldn’t get the show here in Jordan. From the reviews posted here I guess I got lucky
By Ron in Jordan on Jun 24, 2009 @ 10:44pm
ESPN is the reason McFadden didn’t win the Heisman. ESPN knew that they were gonna televise Florida’s bowl game so they played up Tebow just to get good ratings. Since they’re such a monopoly everyone was brainwashed by them and Tebow won it. Everyone knows McFadden was a better player.
By Andrew on Jun 25, 2009 @ 12:27am
MRPRFCT,
You are ignorant.
NEVER.

By MRPRFCT on Jun 25, 2009 @ 9:41am
I spent some time in Virginia and in the last 10 years Va Tech has been a notch better than Arkansas overall especially on defense. They have a large passionate following as well. I agree that over the decades they do not have the long standing tradition as UA, but Beamer is highly respected nationally and especially noted for defense and special teams. The ACC is not the SEC and that’s a fact. However, a 5-7 team is just not going to merit much attention until things get turned around. Mallett will bring lots of exposure to UA this year along with DJ Williams and Michael Smith. It’s coming!!!
By Ima Hawg on Jun 25, 2009 @ 9:58am

we don’t deserve it until then. it’s only a matter of weeks, though i believe

hog_FAN, I’m not ignorant.
