Thanks for keeping the info coming Richard. I’m excited about the potential of these two players. Gordon could end up being a gamebreaker on offense with his speed, although he was recruited at DB. With the speed and depth we seem to have at WR, he will probably get playing time sooner at corner, where we are thin. But, I think that a player with rare speed like him cna be a weapon on both sides of the ball, as well as give us a difference maker on kick returns.
On Wingo, he seems even more impressive. He is only a few 100′ths of a second slower than Gordon in the 100, but is 40 pounds bigger! Can’t wait to see him break into the open field on running plays in the future!

I love coach pel but is anyone else seeing a disturbing similarity between the recruits he is going after and the ones HDN targeted?(Ie also considering Tulsa, TCU, Southeastowestern state)

We will always have to compete against Nutt for recruits. Thats just the way it is. Just like we have to recruit againt everybody else close by.

ITS THE LATE SIGNING PERIOD!!! WHEN YOU ARE SCRAMBLING FOR PLAYERS THIS LATE, MOST OTHER TEAMS ALREADY HAVE THEIR FULL ROSTER!!
Nobles is a player and almost won Mr Basketball in a talent rich state. Both of these JUCO’s are solid role players. Powell is a star, Farmer is a hell of a player, Borden is a project but is a 7 footer. Pel may not be getting superstars, but he is assembling a very good TEAM. If Washington stays, we are a legit contender for the west division title. Every other team in our division loses a lot of their scoring/experience and will be in rebuilding mode.

I wonder if Petrino will put Wingo in at tailback? The guy seems to be fantastic…I can see a rotation of Curtis, Wingo,Green and Smith next year. I just dont see a 5′8″ crew of backs doing much in the SEC. and as a side note…we are getting those 6′7″ to 6′9″ linemen that can move good. I think our run game next year will be fantastic…not to mention the passing game as well. Go Hogs !!!

I think if everyone’s healthy (and Green is eligible) we might see Smith, Davis, Green, and then perhaps Wingo. BP might get find other creative ways to get Wingo the ball, though.
